More traffic helps buyers and sellers.

We’ve been pretty excited about our web platform since it launched.  The enhancements have been well recieved by our agents, sellers and buyers.  We’ve added full screen picture slide shows with all our properties that have 21 photos.  We also added links to virtual tours and more recently added Google Street View to each listing.  The interactive map and search platform has been tweaked to make it the experience easier.

Over the past year our traffic to the Century 21 web pages at www.Century21Advantage.ca has increased by more than 30%!  March 2009 our web site recorded 3,126 visitors compared to this year where we had 4,193!  That’s an additional 31 visitors a day or a 34% increase in traffic for the month of March.

March has been a busy month with lots of action on interest rates, The CREA vs. Competition Bureau talks, and weather being above seasonal.  Has it been busy with sales?  Not as busy as I would have predicted actually.  Given that there has been many headlines or talk on the news about rising interest rates.  This threat of higher costs of borrowing has not produced a vast number of buyers looking to take advantage.  Combine that with CMHC tightening qualification standards and generally making it tougher to borrow you would think this to would have meant Red Deer real estate was in hot demand.
